School Choir

Jan Deyl Conservatory Choir of Visually Impaired and Blind Students

Jan Deyl Conservatory Choir of Visually Impaired and Blind Students is a choir of handicapped young musicians from Jan Deyl Conservatory in Prague, The Czech Republic. This school educates visually impaired and blind talented young people from all the country and from abroad so that they could be able to enjoy music as their profession. The choir includes instrumentalists as well as singers in their early period of their conservatory studies. The choir has had an experience of performing in public for nearly ten years. The repertoire includes national songs, which are arranged usually for four voices of a mixed chorus by famous Czech composers and compositions from all historical periods and styles. The contemporary music in the repertoire is represented by songs from musicals, spirituals and even modern songs and students´ own compositions.
Music is completely accessible for blind and visually impaired.
